What we do and why

The ITEXC business was formed by senior I.T. professionals to service the I.T. management needs of mid to large sized organisations.

Our mission is to help I.T. line management better grasp the commercial aspects of running their operations through an integrated service financial framework. As a result, we believe they will become more balanced managers, feel more 'in control' of their areas of responsibility while being able to more clearly communicate that information to the non-I.T. users of their services in understandable business terms.

We see increasing pressure on I.T. groups to behave more commercially, regardless of their size or industry type. Responses to these pressures vary but are directly affected by 3 factors:

1. Available bandwidth by senior I.T. management and supporting I.T. finance staff to drive the changes.
2. Lack of direct experience in the broader I.T. group to 'managing commercially'.
3. Lack of I.T. management application support tools designed for this purpose (spreadsheets don't count - they lack rigour,scalability and reach).

This is where ITEXC can help. We provide the senior skill and support tools to work with the I.T. management team and I.T. finance to achieve their required commercial objectives quickly and effectively. We promote a "skills transfer" approach to ensure sustainability of the outcome, but will also take a more active and involved role if speed of change or results is of the essence.
